"The main reason couples take lessons with me is not to look great on the dance floor, they just don't want to let each other down" says Sandy, founder of DanceQuest UK Ltd. "Some people don't know how to dance and being called upon to dance in front of all their relatives can be a nerve-wracking time". The main concern for couples is the legacy their first dance leaves behind. Sandy says: "That's why prospective brides and grooms who want to give a polished and graceful performance on their wedding day are increasingly taking dance lessons to help prepare for what will be the performance of their lifetimes. Dancing is good exercise and lessons pull you out of the hustle and bustle of the day to spend an hour or so with your intended, having fun and working together productively at the same time".
Sandy says: "No-one is uncoachable. Everyone can dance! It's just a question of being shown the right steps and moves suited for you. You choose the style of dance that suits 'your song' or I will help choose it for you. I make learning fun, I start off very slowly and build the routine until you are so comfortable with your dance you are able to tell me you don't need me anymore... believe me, that day always comes!" If you don't have to worry about your shoes, your song or your steps, your first dance will be exactly what it's intended to be - fun and romantic! In order to make that happen however, a little preparation is needed. Sandy added "When you want to drive well, you invest in professional lessons. It's the same with dancing".
Dance lessons should be the first thing you get started and the last thing you worry about!
